Is Your PC Too Slow? Try These Amazing Tricks to Speed Up Your Computer in No Time!

Most PC users begin to complain that their computer is becoming slower over time. User complaints are minimal when their computer is still new. But as time goes by, they begin to notice that the speed is decreased and their PC keeps freezing.

So, how can you fight this problem and have your computer run like new again?

    * Repair disk errors: Run the Error Checking utility to check the integrity of the files stored on your hard disk. Over time hard drives tend to develop bad sectors, which slow down performance. By using the Error Checking utility you will be able to scan the hard drive and find out if certain files or folders are misplaced.
    * Remove Autostart Programs: First, you need to find out if there are any unnecessary programs that start automatically. Many programs simply run in the background without you realising it, because they remain completely hidden. Some others show an icon on your taskbar to let you know they are in operation. These programs will steal away valuable memory and cause a sluggish performance. To remove them Click Start, Run, type Msconfig, and press Enter. You will find a list of all the programs that run when Windows loads, on the Startup tab. Next, you need to clear the check box next to any item you don't need, click Apply, and restart your PC. You can also use the Autoruns freeware tool, to locate any program that will start automatically.
    * Repair the registry: this is the single most important step you can take, if you want to boost your PC's performance. The Windows registry stores all the configurations and settings of your system. However, over time it becomes corrupted, which considerably slows down speed. To fix this problem, you must delete all the wrong entries that cause problems to your pc. Don't try to do it yourself, because it can lead to a crash. The best solution would be to download a reliable online tool, which can repair your registry in no time.

So, what happens if you have taken all the above steps and nothing has worked? In the rare case that even the last step hasn't helped, then your last solution would be to reinstall the Operating System and all the programs. Of course you will need to backup all your data and user settings, before doing that. This would be like having a new computer, however the downside is that it takes a lot of time and you also risk losing some of your data.
