How to Boost Your Computer's Speed and Performance - Tips and Tricks to Free Your Computer Memory

Do you have a computer or laptop? If you do, do you feel that your machine is slowing down day by day? Well if you do, then let me tell you that you are not alone!

This is a very common problem in PCs. You see every time we install new software or make any changes on the system, we are gradually eating the computer memory and the hard disk.

Every last changes that we made are automatically recorded on the computer registry; this registry is like a big database of all the components that your machine is made of. This includes all the hardware and software information about your computer.

Changes such as new software installations and uninstallations are also recorded on the system registry. But what will surprise you is that when we uninstall a program the registry keys that are associated with that software are not removed from the registry. But instead are created new registry keys.

And over time these keys get cluttered and this cluttering is what causing the slowdowns around computer world! You can check this by going to the Registry Editor. Simply go to start -> run and type "regedit" (no quotes).

Once you are on the Registry Editor, create a backup of all your registry keys, for this go to File -> export. And save on a safe place.

After creating a backup file you can make any changes you want. Simple use the search function and find all the corrupted, misplace and mismatch registry keys.

To free some physical computer memory, I recommend closing all the startup programs (the programs that will start automatically upon Windows) you will generally see some icons next to the watch on your bottom right corner.

To close these startup programs go to Start -> Run and type "msconfig" (no quotes) and press enter. This will open the System Configuration Window, simple navigate to the "startup" tab and uncheck all the startup programs that you want to close (restarting the system may be required).

By closing all the startup programs you will free up to 20% of your physical computer memory!

Another way to boost your computer speed and performance is to perform a disk defrag, to do this simply go to Computer and right click on the Drive and choose properties and navigate to the Tools tab and click on the Defrag button.

Defragmenting your disks will rearrange the whole Disk like a library. This indexation will boost the computer speed and performance, simply because your machine will be able to find very easily all the files required for any operation.

Disk defragmentation can increase your machine speed by 10% and free your memory by another 15%.

Above the all, nothing beats the registry cleaner software's, these programs are made for one thing. To boost your computer speed and performance, they clean all the system registry files (corrupted misplaces and mismatch keys). They also diagnose your physical memory and do the appropriate repairs or customizations to maximise the performance of your PC.

After testing some of the top registry cleaners on the marker I have created a comprehensive review site that details my findings. Here is the website registry cleaner reviews to read my professional report http://www.registryeasy-clean.com/.
